i would try it in Safe Mode,keep tapping F8 at Bootup right after the BIOS-Screens. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001060608000039 or try MOVE ON BOOT http://www.webattack.com/get/moveonboot.html had some pretty good results with it. :) werner P.S. Make sure the Program to which the File belongs to is not running and try again the normal way to delete the File.
