Ok, well to change the OS loader, so that it disappears your C:\boot.ini should resemble:
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional"
/fastdetect /noexecute=optin
If you do a "new" installation with Windows XP Home just give me another copy of
the C:\Boot.ini and I'll alter the sections that need to be. Hope all this helps!
