I'm having the same problem with a slightly different twist. When I open any of
the Microsoft Office programs, the Windows Installer appears on top with the message
"preparing to install". I click cancel several times and then a message appears
saying: Microsoft Outlook (or whichever program I'm trying to open) has not been
installed for the current user. This problem started after I downloaded the trial
version of Spring Clean and did a Quick Clean. Something got deleted that shouldn't
have or else there is some kind of glitch. Tried your solution but can't find any
of the files you say should be deleted to solve the problem. Thanks so much for
any help. I'm right in the middle of a project and can't get anything done now!!!
