I faced the same problem a yesterday.. so i googled and landed up here. I tried renaming the files .. as that seemed to have worked for someone , but explorer still does not start. Once I login at the welcome screen , all I see is the wallpaper . The taskmanager is the only thing that works. I haven't installed neither sp1 nor sp2 . Could that be a cause ? Does anyone have any other solution to this problem ? Help greatly appreciated . Thanks .
