Some Laptops have Bios, or Hard Drive Passwords, that are hard to get around. I
don't know about the Dell, but if this what you are facing, the Bios passwords many
times need to have a Chip replaced on the motherboard, and on the Hard Drive Passwords,
it is easier to just put in a new Hard Drive. If someone has very valuable Data on
the Hard Drive, then expensive services are available that can retrieve the Data.
I guess they take the Hard Drives
apart to replace main Circuit board with a new one to get around the password restriction.
