No new installations or unistalls, just Windows Installer would start everytime I started Microsoft Word. Went through all my Microsoft programs, and it would happen with Word, Excel, and Frontpage. But would not happen with Access, Money, or anything else. When Installer would start, it always wanted to install Visual Basic (which is installed and was installed last year.) A google search turned up a number of possible solutions, but the first one I tried was to - open Microsoft Word, - (clicked cancel at all the Windows Installer prompts until it went away. - on Microsoft Word, clicked Help, Detect & Repair. - had to put in my Microsoft Office installation CD, but after finishing, the problem had gone away. I tried starting Excel, Frontpage, and Word again, and the Windows Installer problem seems cured. Hope this helps someone else.....
