Just wanted to say thanks too - the fix worked perfectly. I just wanted to add that
I think my problem was cause by me running a DOS version of the game Settlers II
- it always reports some sort of audio conflict when I start it up, and I guess this
is what 'stopped' the service. I was pulling my hair out as iTunes wasn't working...so
thanks!
