Thank you so much for this helping hand - the machine.inf method worked a treat for
me! I was stuck with a machine and no sound (CMedia AC'97 Audio). I had even tried
a completely new mainboard in this machine in an effort to resolve the "Driver is
enabled but not started" error. Your method saved me from installing a new mainboard
into the client's pc. Believe it or not I am a PC Technician (Microsoft and CompTIA
Certified) by trade, so it just goes to show that even the experts can use a hand
now and then! Thanks again Tony ;)
