Could be anything! If it's been going on for 4 years I would be suspicious of bad
RAM from day 1. Also 128Mb is hardly sufficient for smooth running of XP Pro (in
my opinion) Another possibility is a bad or undersized power supply - your comment
on 6v earth leakage worries me - what exactly do you mean and how did you measure
it?
