Upgraded my computer to use SATA 2 Drives. Asus Mainboard, 2 Seagates 400G & 200G. Works fine. However, for cooling purposes, I mounted them in kind of like trays that go into 2 - 5 1/4 bays. Each tray has three small fans in front and seems to do the job of cooling, (I have a drive temperature program) although way too loud and driving me crazy, b ut I guess I'll have to live with that. Anyways ............ the real question. Each "Tray" has a HDD light on it and they don't work. The trays have a standard electrical 4 prong connector for the fans and another 2 prong, looks like a mainboard connector for the light. Does any one know how I can make the lights work on the drive trays ? I was thinking unhooking the LED light on the mainboard and hooking in one of the tray plugs, will that work ? .... with the main HDD LED wire unhooked from the mainboard and I can't hook up two tray wire plugs to one mainboard plug ? Please help if you can, I really would like to know when the Hard Drives are working, any suggestions appreciated, Paul.
