I had also experienced the annoyance of the Startup message "HP PrecisionScan LT
Setup". After a series of failed attempts to get rid of it, I finally tried the following
scheme:
I opened the System Configuration Utility, I chose Startup and I unchecked these
two items: 1) hpupdate (Command: C:\sj650\hpupdate.exe 3300C+) and 2) NEWDOT~2 (Command:
rundll.32 C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~2DLL,NewDotNetStartup -s). I clicked Apply
and I restarted my computer. Pay attention! At this first restart and only for once,
I received a "warning-prompting" message to undo my changes by going back to the
System Configuration Utility and clicking Standard configuration. Ignore it and
get rid of it clicking 'Don't show'. It works 100%!!!! Try it and you'll see!!!
