I was having the same issue, but my Dell desktop doesnt have the same Control Panel
software structure in XP as you may have, but I found a solution that may work for
all Dell computers that has the minimum disk threshold warning problem.
Solution:
Create the registry Key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DELL\OpenManage\Client\SysInfo
Make a DWord value called HDDThresholdValue and set it to 0
