>On a Dell Inspiron 6400, running XP instant standyby can be achieved with Fn+Esc (Fn meaning the Function Key). If laptops have this then I'm sure desktop PCs must be capable of the same thing, no advice on how to disable though. Hope that's not annoyingly useless- I'm used to Macs and just beginning to use a PC!
