Note: regarding the above, Intel Proset wireless management is active, not MS wireless
management. So all the more mystery as to why the premature Microsoft (MS) pop up
was happening the first place. Therein perhaps is the source of the logic error that
trips something on shutdown. What is interesting is that disabling the 'limited connection'
pop-up (giving the problem), then re-enabling it, not only has this cured the dwwin
problem, it also appears to have stopped the MS pop-up appearing while the Intel
proset/driver estalishes a wireless connection. By appears to have, I mean on two
start ups so far, previously the system tray pop-up appeared on every boot.
