I use TweakUI for a number of things on my XP platform. I have found that the problem
of missing system tray icons is a direct result of setting TweakUI to automatically
log me in rather than having to click on my account in the middle of a Windows startup.
The only icon that seems to make it through is Norton Antivirus. My volume control
is gone as well as many other icons that I frequently use. As soon as I uncheck
"Logon automatically at system startup", the problem disappears. I hope somebody
out there has a fix for this.
