This will let you get rid of or add a CD Drive to the 'Send To' list (Works on my
computer anyway...). My 'Send To' didn't list a CD/DVD drive but I was able to fix
that and add one to the list. Here is how I did it, hope this helps, by the way
I have XP Pro. Before you start have a disk in the CD/DVD Drive. Go to Administrative
Tools, Computer Management. Then, on the left, click on the + to open the Storage
sub list, and then click Disk Management (A disk needs to be in the drive for it
to show up. I tried both blank and with data. Either worked for me.). In the right
side window find your CD/DVD Drive. Right Click on its name and choose Properties
from the list. In the Property Window click the Recording Tab and click in the Check
Box to activate 'Enable CD recording on this drive' (Uncheck this if you want to
remove drive from 'Send To' list). Below that you can configure a couple of options.
Apply and Close and thats it. Now when I right click I have the option to 'Send
To' my DVD Drive. For some reason the device manager doesn't list the same info
as this window does. So hopefully this will help, I have no idea what XP users should
do since this is for XP Pro, hopefully there is something similar for Drive Management.
