I have looked through this whole tread and couldn't find any answer to my problem
at all. However i didn't find a work around which was to unregister the Dll file
and just not have thumbnails any more, so i tried that which stopped explorer from
crashing. But i thought this was a crap thing to do cause i actually found that i
liked having the thumbnails turned on, so i re-registered the dll and just out of
curiosity thought i would see if anything had changed, and for some reason it had!!!,
i found that buy unregistering the dll then re-registering it again solved to problem
completely!!!
so just do this...
>To fix this, use this at a command prompt:
>regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll
>To undo the fix, use
>regsvr32 shmedia.dll
.
Hope it helps!!
