Spyware & WIN XP Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 4:58 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Rich (326 messages posted) I tried Windows Defender, but with 512 Megs. of RAM, it slowed things down quite a bit. The 'real time' protection has a large footprint, and seems bloated. Any recommendations for a better, real time ant-spyware, like Spy Sweeper or Spy Doctor? I currently use AdAware and Spybot S&D, AVI, but a real time anti-spyware would be a better addition. Do all of these slow things down so much. I am using DSL, not the fastest connection, but without Defender, things run quite faster and better..??
