Hi,
You hit a good point.
If you look at my signature profile, you see my first drive, a Maxtor 40GB, I had
the problem already 5 years ago.
Then, I bought the WD 120 GB that became the primary drive, while the old Maxtor
is now the secondary one (back up).
With WD nothing changed, notwithstanding I installed the latest BIOS and of course
reformatted.
I never tried to disconnect all the drives and leave the WD only, but I will do and
let you know the result.
