It will be automatically recreated. 1. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Local Settings\Application Data 2. Delete IconCache.db 3. Reboot If the problem persist, increase the icon cache size, using regedit Start / Run enter regedit> and press OK Navigate to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer] MaxCachedIcons=4096 (it would be enough) then delete "ShellIconCache".
