Hi, I have XP sr2 on my home computer. I had horrendous problems upgrading from sr1 to sr2 - a horror story but not the subject of this question. In the process of finally getting a succesful sr2 installation I set myself up to login as administrator and, as far as i can remenber i used a blank password (ie no entry from keyboard) to set up the password. Now I can boot up my computer and it never asks me for a password. So far so good, BUT now I am WIFI enabled which has opened up a whole pandoras box of security issues. I am now advised I should have a proper secure adminstrators password to protect unauthorised external access to my files. When I try to change my admin password, it tells me my account is password protected and asks me for a password. When I input nothing and continue to add a new password etc, it responds by telling me that my password is wrong etc. So its a stalemate. I could continue to live with it but whatif something goes wrong and my admin requires a password - shock horror I am locked out of all MY DOCUMENTS folder
