Get rid of opening name click requirement

I just re-formatted my hd and installed programs ... including my HP printer. Before
installing the printer, whenever I signed off and on to windows, it would go straight
thru without stopping for name or whatever. After the printer installation, along
with it installing Microsoft.Net framework 1.1, it does not continue all the way.
Instead, it stops at the Windows 'Welcome" screen, where my name suddenly shows
up, and I have to click on my name in order to continue on into windows.

I don't think I should remove Microsoft.net ... so does anyone have any fix whereby
I don't have to click on name? My son fixed this a few years ago ... but due to
'old age', cannot recall his process.

Thank you
Chuck
