Would like text files open with cursor at bottom by default

 Are there easy settings that I can change to cause any kind of text file(s) to open 
with the cursor at the end of any text that is already on the page?
 Even better would be to open the file and have the cursor be at a new line position 
below the end of any text on the page. 

 Specifically, I am trying to use Dragon Naturally Speaking to maintain a running 
log of my activities during the day at work. 

 I would have the small (but to me important) time savings of not having to say the 
two commands to get the cursor into position each time I opened the file. More importantly, 
the fewer commands needed to get to where I want to be, the fewer opportunities for 
voice recognition errors.
