PC has stopped working Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 5:45 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by glenn (100 messages posted) Background to problem, in case its relevant: My daughter working on PC with floppy. PC would not turn off. I turned it off my holding on/off switch in. Turned on PC and it gave the usual error message when you turn on a PC with floppy still in PC. Turned off PC. Discovered floppy. Took it out. PC now does not complete booting process. I'm stuck with the black and white page and process does not get beyond 'Veryfying DMI Pool Data'. I also notice further up the screen: 'Pri. Master Disk HDD S.M.A.R.T. capability .... Disabled', if that is relevant. Can you give me any advice about how to proceed?
