WOW, THANKS!! I never posted a question, BUT I had the EXACT same problem and your
solution WORKED ABSOLUTELY GREAT!! I got my desktop and everything BACK!! WOWWWOW!!!
Thanks again!!!! I have no idea what that reg. string had to do with explorer.exe
being there yet not loading, BUT who cares? It solved my problem!! Thank you!
