That's a good point, spiritwind. The HP instuction book which tells how to open the computer and replace or add a memory stick has nothing whatsoever about using a wrist strap. The only admonition mentioned is that one should handle the stick by the edges. I tried to do that as much as I could. I also wore a glove.
