That was interesting advice, Rich. I just might do that. It seems to be the best
advice I have had yet to get out of my misery. One q I have though -if I install
a new drive with the old then install Win XP with my original disks on the new drive
will there be any problems because the new won't have all the updates? In the same
vein, if I add the old to another computer could there be conflicts for the same
reason? Another q is in either case if I have both new and old drive in the same
computer and the old has a virus that caused my problem, will the infection spread
to the new drive and leave me with the same problem - can't get it running - as I
have now? Thanks for any and all answers. Bill.
