Automatically re-register MS Office application

I have a solution for Windows
Installer Appears Every Time I Start an Application:

This solution is related to the Installer launching when starting any of the Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.). There was a solution posted on this thread that requires you to edit the registry keys for MS Office. This solution will do the same thing without having to directly edit the registry: 1. Open the folder containing the EXE file for the Office application. Eg. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11 2. Create a shortcut of the EXE file (eg. EXCEL.EXE) by right-clicking on it and select "Create Shortcut". 3. Edit the shortcut and add the "/o" switch to the end of the "Target" string. Eg. "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\EXCEL.EXE" /o 4. Now double click on the shortcut. The "/o" switch will force Windows to re-register the Office application, thereby fixing the registry for you automatically. There you go, the Windows Installer will not launch anymore when you start an Office application. Note: This fix was found using the following MS support document: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291288
