I looked through here & didn't see this fix (but I admit I could have overlooked
it).
I had a problem on a client's pc that the SPOOLSV.EXE process was taking 100% of
the CPU. The job was printing to the "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer".
The particular client needed this job so I could not simply delete the problem job
(something w/their accounting software would not allow them to recreate this print
job). What I wound up doing is taking an HP LaserJet 4 & connecting it to the pc's
LPT1 port. Then, I changed the Document Image Writer to use the LPT1 port & applied
the change. I then opened the print queue & right-clicked on the print job & selected
"Restart". The job printed right out on the HPLJ4. Afterward, I changed the printers
properties back to it's original port.
Hope this info helps others.
