spoolsv.exe consumes 99% of the cpu causing the computer to become very very slow
(crashed).
1. No backdoor.ciadoor.html was found in registry.
2. No files in c:\winnt\system32\spool\printers were found
3. Ad-Aware removed some spyware but still problem persists
4. Can't see if print jobs are pending since i cannot open Printer&Faxes when spoolsv.exe
is running on 99% cpu usage.
I can only kill it from task manager but then nothing is displayed since the spool
service is stopped.
5. recreating the spoolsv.exe file after deleting it doesn't work
6. SP2 was been reinstalled
I believe there must be a pending job in queue but how can I check that when spoolsv
and Printer & Faxes can never work together???
damn! microsoft should do something about that...too many people have this problem
for soooo long as I can see...similar problem 2 years ago in Win2K meant reinstallation
and this is where I am heading to if I don't get a proper answer...
