I have a question about How do I turn off the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer as my default image viewer?:

Thank you thank you!! One day I got a bug where everytime I tried to "save picture as" or "save target as" -- any .jpg or .gif file viewed through IE (6 and 7), IE would crash. IE would not crash when saving .htm, .pdf, .bmp or any other file types, just .jpgs and .gifs. Googled and found nothing that helped I thought I'd removed Windows Picture/Fax viewer but noticed the file associations still defaulted to WPFV EVEN THOUGH I'd manually changed the default opener to IE. After upgrading IE and still same results, I googled the WPFV and found this article. I deleted those two registry keys and oi-la, I can save pictures again via IE So thanks!! and cheers
