The solution to this annoyance is simple: When you power on your computer, WAIT 1-2
minutes before logging on to allow Windows to load all of the start-up programs.
Just WAIT and WATCH your LED (at least 90 seconds to be on the safe side) until it
stops flashing. Then just log on, and voila! This works for me 100% of the time!
I remember Windows98SE doing the same thing. Forget all that other stuff, this seems
to work and it is so simple! :)
