Had the same problem, spoolsv.exe hogging 96% of CPU.
After checking that no print jobs pending in Printers folder:
1. Right click on My Computer on your Desktop.
2. Click Manage.
3. Click Services and Applications.
4. Click Services.
5. Find Print Spooler.
6. Right Click on Print Spooler.
7. Click Stop. Don't know if it makes a difference, but wait a few seconds or more.
8. Click Start.
9. Check your Task Manager spoolsv.exe
should be back to 00.
Hope this helps.
