Hi. The firewall on this router if enabled can reduce network access down to 10%-15% as described in the manual http://60.248.77.180/_Internet/usermanual/BIPAC6600UM_EN20050128.pdf also depends on how you have it set for assigning the ip address. Have a good read through the manual as this is a good bit of kit and you should be getting better results than you describe.
