Hi Pam, from what you have described I think you may be to late. The quick bit that
you cannot read is probably the IBM bios loading but the more important bit is no
operating system. You may have to get a copy of XP and do a clean install. I may
be wrong and others that read your post may have other solutions but In my opinion
your husband has either wiped the original XP install or corrupted it beyond repair.
