Friends computer was causing him problems. He wasn't able to boot his system. He purchased a new computer and brought me his old computer hard drive. I connected the drive to my computer as a slave and was able to back-up some of his files off the hard drive, however, there is a folder that I am unable to access. I am logged in as the Admin. and set permissions to share the entire D: drive. Still unable to access folder. The folder resides in "My Documents" under my friends name. I have Ubuntu on my system also. Do you think I can by-pass permissions if I set Linux to read this drive? The possible bad drive is WinXP/NTFS I have WinXP and Linux/Ubuntu on my system.
