See what is using up all the resources. (Look under 'processes') If it is 'System Idle Process' at the bottom of the list, that is NORMAL.. It isn't really taking up all the resources. Look at the performance window, and your CPU useage, and Page File useage should be quite normal. That is a deceiving reading, but again, normal on XP. It is not really 'using' all the resources.
