Actually, a-squared isn't one of the top malware removal programs and never used
on malware support forums, to my knowledge.
AVG Anti-spyware and SUPERAntispyware are the most aggressive. AVG AS (formerly ewido)
is the best. They're both functional after the 30 day trial, aside from real time
protection and the Auto update feature.
I suggest you run an online virus scan and see what it has to say. Panda is very
good, and usually identifies any malwares, even though it may not be able to clean.
Just don't use your main email address.
Panda Active Scan
Before running the scan, clear out all temp files...
Download CCleaner.. Before running the scan, click Options and specify
any Cookies you don't want removed. You might also want to uncheck the box that says,
"don't remove temp files less than 48 hrs. old".
(Do NOT scan for Issues, if you're uncomfortable using registry cleaners).
Then I'd run AVG AS in Safe mode. First, check in A/Remove for any suspicious apps
you didn't knowingly install. Uninstall if possible.
