To avoid booting Windows and therefore activating the malware, go to
fprot
They have an anti-virus DOS program that you can download. Download the program and
transfer it onto a CD. Then boot using a Win98 boot disk to an A: prompt, then type
X: and press Enter to change to X:prompt (where X represents your CD drive letter).
Finally, type f-prot.exe c: and press Enter. You can get the W98 bootdisk software
from www.bootdisk.com After that you might need to run a repair to your OS.
If that does not work then I have one other idea but let's see if that works first.
One other thing, did you run HijackThis and post in that forum?
