service pack 2

Hi all, Am running xp pro and have not yet loaded service pack 2. My problem is I 
cannot load the patch for the time change without having service pack 2. How many 
problems will I have if I download SP2 or if I just change my clock manually? Thanks 
for any help. Kathy
