Now I can try this, if I can do it from recovery console! I got over-confident after
windows let me create 2 new admin accounts this morning! I should have erased my
user account I was logged in with, and maybe the new account would have shown up,
but anyway I logged out and the #$& Welcome Screen was blank again. This time,at
ctrol-alt-del - nothing, no logon screen came up at all. So reboot, try safe mode.
The logon screen with my user account name came up, had the name and a password
greyed out, said "The system could not log you on, check your name and password and..."
blah blah blah. But there was no way to change it, since it was greyed out.
I then booted into recovery console and here we are now. I am running chkdsk and
repairing. WTHeck I don't think I have anythng much to lose, my sanity is already
gone.
