If you are running a firewall like Norton Internet Security, temporarily disable the firewall. Then test your network connections. If you are then able to connect to your other computers, this means that you have to configure the local network inside the firewall. Many of the firewall programs have configuration wizards that will help you resolve the problem. Check the website of the firewall vendor.
