I still can't get the plug and play software device enumerator fixed. Any updated suggestions would be great FYI: I never had a problem with the sound until a few days ago. Computer was getting slow and clogged so I did a fresh install. Sound died after installing sp2. Software device emulator failure, so same as what you all have experienced. I redid my computer the same way 2 years ago and never had a problem.
