re: Question about Right Click Menu Speed Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 1:21 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Mwojcik (1 messages posted) I have seen the following work well on some systems: Open regedit go to My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2 At the top of the list you may find entries like ##Servername#sharename such as ##Oldserver-that-is-gone#share-that-is-gone Delete these entries. Windows explorer keeps looking for these servers and if they don't exist it will choke on them.
