I have been able to find out the reasons behind the problem. The audio drivers installed
are not the correct drivers that has been installed. The most likely reason for that
is a reinstall of the Operating System. In the event it would not indicate that the
drivers are incompatible. All I did was install the compatible audio drivers and
it immediately solved the problem. For the correct drivers one should go to the computer
manufacturers website and key in the Desktop or Laptop product code in their support
site where you can download the relevant drivers.
Jake you should try this and I am sure it would work. Thanks,
