I just fixed the problem you are having. Hopefully I can explain well enough to
help you. This means u have no sound card installed so I will help you as much as
I can to install the proper devices.
You will need the SYSTEM RESTORE DISC that comes with ur computer/laptop. It will
have like applications, drivers, & Operating System, etc.
1) click START>CONTROL PANEL> (make sure u switch to classic view in upper left
hand of control panel) SYSTEM> HARDWARE>DEVICE MANAGER
**scroll and see if any icons have yellow question marks on them.. if they do, delete/unistall
them.**
(((( U need to know who ur MOTHERBOARD MANUFACTURER is. Most likely u have had to
restore ur system recently and what has happened is that ur system was restored without
ur Motherboard chipsets. U can usually get these drivers and devices from the Manufacturer's
website. ( Mine was AMD and they had a full list and I found the appropriate one,
downloaded it and VIOLA!)))
OK, Now that U have downloaded the appropriate drivers from ur MOTHERBOARD MANUFAC.
WEBSITE, install it.
~NOW, put ur SYSTEM RESTORE DISC in and restart ur computer ... when u get back to
ur desktop, after a minute or so It should pop up that NEW HARDWARE has been FOUND.
( If it doesn't go to START>CONTROL PANEL>in catagory view, click PRINTERS AND OTHER
HARDWARE>ADD HARDWARE
If u did it right, it should install the appropriate drivers. BEST OF LUCK...
ALSO, a great live chat at http://www.driverguide.com has people online at all hours
willing to help you.
