First of all, is the service really needed. Can it be disabled? I seem to remember a trick. Something about copying a folder from your XP disk to your hard drive and making a change in the registry to point to that folder and run from there. In essence making the need of retrieving the XP disk null and void. Anybody remember where to find the instructions on that?
