Your Dell should have hardware diagnostics that can check the system.  Check your 
documentation or with Dell to see if it is on your machine and how to run it (should 
be in the BIOS on boot up).  After that, and depending on the results, you will know 
if there is a hardware issue or a data/corruption issue (or both) that needs to be 
repaired.
