internet problems

My windows xp dell connects to the internet wirelessly through the router in the
other room. In the bottom right of the screen, it informs me that it has a full signal
and is connected to the internet, but when I open up my browser, it won't load the
pages. Sometimes it works when I refresh a few times or go to internet options and
mess around and try again. Some days there are streaks where nothing will fix it.
I know the problem isn't the router because both my palm pilot and my laptop are
able to use the internet using the wireless. Anybody have any ideas?
