Can some help please? I had a major crash with my family pc (it was running xp media centre) after using some disk cleaning software which then ruined my registry and wouldnt let me log into windows!! As I have a copy of XP professional for my business I decided to reinstall that. It took time and I've now got both on here. However, for some reason I cant see the little volume control icon - it tells me windows cant see my audio device. Can anyone help? I've looked in the device manager but all seems ok. I suppose I could use the system restore disks which came with the pc but I dont want to lose all the photos and data on my hard drive. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks
